I have a failover machine x3650M3 that I want to use to donate to the WCG
It has 2 physical x5650 Intel Xeon processors (6 cores each) running at 2.67GHZ It is currently running ESXi and is my failover server for my production machines. I currently have 4 Windows server 2008 Virtual machines running on it, to do the crunching, but I am interested in a linux distro that I could run instead of the windows (due to licensing issues) So in short is there a linux distro that I could use to take advantage of the servers hardware that is free? Thanks |

Many people have been running Ubuntu with great success on their machines. Make sure to use the 64-bit version for maximum productivity on world community grid.
