GFAM: Not getting enough of these parasite swatters!

Not seen anywhere at what priority this science started off with [left it blank on the dashboard], but compared to how DSFL took off, it seems like the hand-break is on [or is 2 new science launches within 3 months too much for the crunching folk at WCG?].

At any rate, me Linux quad in the 4 science profile mix [but no C4CW in supply at all], is getting a good mix, but my Windows duo, on same assortment, is getting about 1 per day [2 cumulative since launch, repair jobs no less]. Even reduced CEP2 allowance from 3 to 1 to push the envelope made no change. Letting me Hari Seldon powers weald, I'm sure I can influence this and let more arrive at the next WU request. hypnotized

Re: GFAM: Not getting enough of these parasite swatters!

If I had to guess, I'd say they placed it at low. I'm running a five science mix, but with two of them not sending results it's effectively three. We know that HCC and DSFL are both running below full speed and yet I get twice as many DSFL and nearly three times the HCC across my seven machines as I do of GOFAM.

I'm not too worried about increasing the ratio at this point as I'm quite certain I'll get a badge and I'm still doing productive work. Just leaving it up to the powers that be to determine what results to crunch.

Re: GFAM: Not getting enough of these parasite swatters!

Get them only at a veeerrrryyyy slow pace as well, all other projects I added were far more "active" than this one.
I just got 4 WU's validated so far, for a total of 1 day of CPU time, 1 more with 4h is PV and 5 more are "in progress", all across 7 different hosts (all of them so far are (older) dual cores, daily work machines).

In the same time, I had already enough WUs crunched from FAAH and DSFL to get at least a bronze badge.

But kind of comforting to see that I am not the only one noticing this...

Yes, the supply does seem to be throttled back at the moment compared to other recent roll-outs - I've only had a total of 6 WU's on two machines, (three others have had nothing so far) and of these, 4 are V, 1 is PV and 1 in progress....so not a lot to show, so far.

yes it seems like we might have stumbled a bit on the start of this project... but remember we only have windows and linux machines running this MAC has not gotten a chance... but i also noticed if i multiple projects i get few of these i wonder if the rollout is at a lower priority or such.

We did start of the weight of this project slow. We just doubled the weight a few minutes ago. We will increase it again early next week until we bring it up to full.

Re: GFAM: Not getting enough of these parasite swatters!

I had to select only GO FAM in order to get WUs. With DSFL and HCC also selected I wasn't getting any of the new Project.

EDIT: after posting my message I saw the one by knreed blushing

Re: GFAM: Not getting enough of these parasite swatters!

I get very few WUs and then it takes a long time for verification. Only 3 WUs so far through verification.

Re: GFAM: Not getting enough of these parasite swatters!

New projects are always launched in a ramping-up mode.
It's easier and wasting less work and time to push the throttle up a few times if everything goes right than stopping everything in emergency and trying to cancel all WUs which are out in case something suddenly goes wrong.
