Hello everyone.
----------------------------------------I got a strange problem on one of my installations: Almost all of DSFL task ends with Error message (about 90%). All other projects runs without any problems. Any ideas what is the issue? P.S. q9550, 4Gb Ram, Win7 64 bit, BOINC 6.10.58 P.S.S. The issue have no connection to "problem with batch 40" as all this messages appears in different batches during couple of weeks.

Firstly, I'd suggest rebooting that machine - as, quite often that may clear out any issues which may be lingering.
----------------------------------------If, after doing that, they're still failing, if you could provide us some more details - i.e., the first 2 dozen or so of your messages in the BOINC Message Log, as well as an example of the log of a failed DSfL WU, that'll give us something to go on. If then no one/the techs don't spot/come back with anything, then it may be prudent to deselect that particular project from your Project list.  |

Do you have an AMD processor and if so what model? Certain AMD processor models from what I read have a problem with this project.

Like everyone else, I want more information. Please start by posting the startup section in the Messages tab in the BOINC Manager which specifies the system, then pick a work unit with an error and post the error messages in the Messages tab for that work unit and then the various error postings on the columns on the Results Status page for that work unit.

Hello xintruderx,
This is the Error Code 195 (0xC3) that people have been complaining about in DSFL for 2 months. Here is the thread at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,31667 Nobody has solved it and many who have this problem have stopped running DSFL. But does this same problem occur for other projects on your computer? My advice is to stop running DSFL and look for more problems. If Error 195 occurs in many non-DSFL units, we might want to point this out to the WCG staff as a possible clue and see if they want some specific information. Lawrence |

Since the beginning of this project, I had my problems with DSFL and my computer and I checked Linux, rebuilt BOINC and in the last week I brought 2 new Linux Version on my system. But nothing helps. But yesterday I found the solution and it is a little bit embarrassing to say it. The overclocking of my cpus was the problem. Since I brought my cpus in normal mode, there are not any errors in the finished wu's of DSFL. Sorry for the past and I hope it helps a little bit for the others. xintruderx |

Every once in a while I would get a blue screen on my laptop with the message saying that Windows was stopped to prevent any system damage. I was able to reboot and continue processing.
I installed TThrottle and have not had the problem. I also started shutting BOINC down to see if that might help to give me more processing power. |
