I wonder why is Japan not listed on the WCG world map or is it lumped in with Asia as they are great crunchers??

Yes, if selection the geographical regions, Japan is part of Asia.
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewGeography.do If selecting the country stats, Japan shows as second largest contributing country. --//-- |

Me too! I get to say something about Japan, too! (Even though I am slow.) Our graphical map does not show individual countries, but Japan is on the drop-down list of countries in Statistics (By Geography) and of course Japanese is one of the five Languages that we support in the drop-down list of Languages.
