Hi Everybody,
I just posted Volume 10 of the FightAIDS@Home Newsletter. See the top of: http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu This volume presents some exciting news about promising new compounds we have discovered on FightAIDS@Home, and it contains plenty of eye candy that I created for you. I also just updated the statistics on the Status page, see: http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status Thank you very much for your continued support, Alex L. Perryman, Ph.D. |

Thank YOU Dr. Perryman for taking time out to keep us in the loop. It's certainly good to hear that progress is being made and that some promising new compounds are coming out of all this crunching everyone contributes to.
----------------------------------------It's also good to hear that, although nothing official has been said, that work is progressing in the background regarding your new Maleria project. I'm certainly looking forward to letting my computers spare CPU cycles get their teeth around those WU's. Oh, I just wish the scientists of some other projects would follow your example and keep us informed of what's happening - it's certainly one very good way to keep us all motivated. ![]() |

Fragments APes1 and APes4: "The 736 compounds in the focused library that we generated are larger and more complex than the fragments APes1 and APes4, and we hope that some of these compounds will help us discover new inhibitors that are at least 100 to 1,000 times more potent than these fragments."
Allosteric-inhibitor-bound conformation of HIV integrase: "... we will be screening millions of compounds (inhibitor of HIV integrase) against this recently discovered allosteric site that is adjacent to the region underneath the 140s loop." ![]() |
