Even though the wcg efforts have drastically cut down the time to find promising leads in creating new drugs, the new drugs still need to go through testing trials, and be approved for use in the general population if all goes well during the trials.

This regrettably takes years to do so. Without WCG it would likely take decades to make new effective dengue drugs.

Drug companies don't see the profit in investing billions in making dengue drugs or drugs for a lot of diseases that are considered to only infect the third world countries and hence not a lot of buyers for very expensive to make drugs to make it worthwhile enough for them.

Universities that would do the research to create the drugs lack the funding and resources such as computer time hence why WCG comes in.

Sorry but the people who need the drugs have to wait a while but the drugs will come it just takes time which WCG crunching is helping to drastically reduce. So keep your computer doing WCG to try to improve humanity. It's a long hard road ahead but you will not see the end of the road unless you journey on it.

Well they have to go through the results. That takes time. Maybe they have found something interesting in the results they got from the crunching. That takes time to double and triple check.

Best to work on other projects in the mean time.
