Well the only thing that appears you can do would not be to suspend tasks. Just suspend network activity to not get new tasks until you need to do so.

I have had over 34 (stats haven't updated yet for the ones that passed validation) valid results for leishmaniasis tasks. 2 are pending in the total since I joined over ten days ago.
----------------------------------------It might indeed be the AMD processor as a mod stated and that they are working on fixing that issue with AMD processors. Just continue to do work on other projects there are several others that do need the power of your comp. They will fix the issue sooner or later. It's not the end of the world if you cannot do one project when there are several other that are worthwhile. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 6, 2011 2:16:51 PM] |

As eluded at top of this thread (I did ask about the CPU make), there are a few AMD's that somehow seem to produce a non-matching result [many AMDs do]. Via the initial 'Inconclusive' path these results end up declared invalid. If this repeats, suggest to de-select DSFL for that device until a solution is found.
Recently again a comment arrived about a certain P3 having a specific result error and when I looked it up, their average contribution to WCG overall was like 2.34 credit per day (16 points average). Got very low hopes, none really, that the programmers would go out to fix a bug and risk to break the software. These devices need to be considered for focus on sciences they can do without fail or be retired. In the not to distant future, the distributor will look at a device science specific history and automatically stop sending these if always / frequent invalid with a red line being printed in the message log of the client, possibly an individualized notice that stays in view for 30 days on the 6.12 and higher clients (email not probable). --//-- |

Hello I have this issue also with Intel CPU.
I run Ubuntu Lucid Lynx x64 in virtual machine (created by VBox), it runs on Intel i7 CPU and I recivee this Inconclusive -> Invalid quite offen. It is sad that there is nothing to do with this issue. I will try it on other similar VM on other PC to see the results. |

hmmm, was ready something about an Ubuntu kernel bug. Done 500 or so on Natty, without fail. Getting into VM spheres and you'd want to get involved in BOINC 6.13 testing or the 6.12.38/39 Beta clients. Such esoteric environments are hard to catch and even harder to debug for the techs.

I will try it with other VM on other computer. Than I will try distro upgrade or fresh install of OS rather. I don`t think that VM is an issue (normally even the OS has no idea that is installed in VM). BOINC is 6.10.17.
Thank you for suggestions. |

I had 60 DSFL WU and all turned into Inconcusive :-(
Very sad. It is Intel CPU. Wouldn't be possible to adjust validator to accept these results? Just an idea. |

Who's VM are u using? (Don't tell us its the Oracle Virtual Box which has been just shot down by some serious Linux kernel developers).
Why not start by running a regular client without the VM on that machine, to eliminate one possible issue? --//-- |
