Re: New CPU

That stinks. crying From what I have heard, the server chips won't be out until early next year anyway, which is what I have my eye on depending on price. Got hooked on dually boards so don't plan to change. biggrin

PS. Your news wasn't rain, a torrential down pour. AMD keeps ticking folks off by all these delays. Better be worth it.

I feel your pain. Makes me wonder if they're having performance issues that need to be solved before release.

Yeah, me too. Looking at the prices from the web seems to give intel a run for their money, unless intel drops prices to match. Hopefully, when released, we will see some good benchmarks.

Re: New CPU

This looks promising.....

Not sure if I like 2 shared modules. From what I gather, will reduce cores the higher the turbo boosts gets. If I can lock turbo boost off, and the processor speed is above 2.5 ghz, would like a pair of these 16 core chips to crunch with. Probably out of my price range. Can you imagine a 4p setup with these sweet processors crunching WCG? biggrin
