Re: Apologies to Wingmen

Hi Blurf,
don't worry too much! :)
C4CW-Workunits don't need a wingman as far as I know. :)

I hope you get your Computer running again!

Re: Apologies to Wingmen

Wish we had a button and a selector on the result status page to pick a specific device to do a user abort on the website of all "In Progress", post device installation loss.

It's not a drama in the case of C4CW, because as noted, most of the time there is no wingman. When lost, they'll expire after 10 days and copies are send out. Would this feature be used more often than the *try validation*? The techs would have such stats. Would it help to speed up batch completion and make wingman as happy as when someone pushes the "Try validation"? Think so, but without data it's another guess.

Just a thought, which are endlessly much easier than implementing.

Re: Apologies to Wingmen

I like your abort option Sekerob. One of my new systems did a similar thing while I was setting it up. Those results have since all been sent to repair and have validated, but I would have used this feature. Another idea running around in my head has been an option to re-send lost units to the host in question. This would probably have to work through the web interface and possibly with a merge hosts feature, but I think you solution is more practical for the techs.
