Re: "Waiting to be sent" - Please adopt a CMD2 work unit

BSD, it isn't that there's no one with HCMD2 in their profile, it's because this particular project has been temporarily halted. Basically, the scientists have hit a snag at the moment with the amount of data that's being generated, and so, as there's no data being transferred over to them, a backlog has built up on the WCG end resulting in no more space available for WU's to be stored...

Hopefully, it'll only be a temporary hickup, and data can start flowing again... Until then though, your WU (and others as well), will be stuck in PV jail. Sorry.

BTW, it IS a known issue, and thus, there is a thread explaining so in the relevant forum.

Edit : The link to that particular thread, is here CMD2 project currently on hold

Re: "Waiting to be sent" - Please adopt a CMD2 work unit

Hmm - still no progress report, so the scientists must be really busy resolving the problem...

I'm still crunching my way through my oversize buffer. Another two days or so should see it done, though sad

What's amusing at present is that late results (No reply producing a queued waiting to be sent) will be validated and credited and the waiting to be sent unit will then acquire a status of "Other" and sent/received dates of 1/01/70 00:00:00.....

Personally, I'd have simply not put any more work in the in-hopper and allowed the well to run dry in its own time...

Re: "Waiting to be sent" - Please adopt a CMD2 work unit

I'd be very pleasantly surprised to see a resume happen before the end of the month when parts suppliers get back on the job... at least where I am, that'd be my expectation.

From my perspective, when something in the IT arena breaks at work, we need it fixed ASAP and will turn over every rock to get the job done as fast as humanly possible. I hope you were kidding about the end of the month. smile

Cheers

I don't have any idea about the root cause of the problem. Anyway, please consider that currently is high vacation period in France and that research institutes do not have the same human resource and financial power available than for profit organizations.
Cheers,
Yves

Yes I have heard of that. It seems it is a national institution so to speak. I was trying to poke a little fun at them but I guess it fell flat.

Yep, got two WU's sitting in PV for the forseeable, with the repair units waiting to go out to wingmen at some point in the future - one has been PV'd due to a wingman Error and the second due to No Reply....now there is an on going No Reply!!! Such is life....just wait for something to happen I suppose and keep crunching other units in the meantime.....
