While updating my stats, I got an exception. Upon tracking down the offending WU, I saw this:

prioque,
----------------------------------------We just came back, watching Trofeo Matteotti from the boardwalk [cycling], and let your new 1.11c run and see that lots of credit went funky. The claim on your wingman is... hmmm. knreed is aware of these excursions, but has not found what sets it off. What odds me is that the claimed/granted credit in the program is not agreeing with what's shown as granted on the RS pages... points and credits maybe getting mixed up or the comma / point decimal getting misread? sample: dg01_ d425_ pr45a1_ 1-- DDDT2 1479931 Valid 31-7-2011 17:20:00 31-7-2011 14:46:55 46,71 1.148,0 579,0 4,60 125,87 Ubuntu 11.04 Q6600 2400 25-7-2011 12:04:29 dg01_ d424_ pr91b1_ 1-- DDDT2 1479931 Valid 31-7-2011 17:20:00 31-7-2011 13:33:53 45,51 1.144,0 1.056,0 4,73 223,26 Ubuntu 11.04 Q6600 2400 25-7-2011 12:03:10 quorum of first WU: dg01_ d425_ pr45a1_ 0-- 640 Valid 7/25/11 12:04:34 7/25/11 18:38:46 4.05 57.9 / 57.9 dg01_ d425_ pr45a1_ 1-- 640 Valid 7/25/11 12:04:29 7/31/11 14:46:55 4.60 114.8 / 57.9 < moi quorum of second WU: dg01_ d424_ pr91b1_ 0-- 640 Valid 7/25/11 12:03:11 7/29/11 06:36:36 2.90 96.7 / 105.6 dg01_ d424_ pr91b1_ 1-- 640 Valid 7/25/11 12:03:10 7/31/11 13:33:53 4.73 114.4 / 105.6 < moi --//-- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 31, 2011 3:38:12 PM] |

It looks like I messed up the decimal when I changed the thousands separator. 1.1d is now out.
----------------------------------------You should be able to go back to the previous version of the database by renaming workunits.dat and workunits.idx to something else, and then renaming workunits.dbk and workunits.ibk to workunits.dat and workunits.idx. |

CPU_Time Claimed / Granted
7.56 220.3 / 2,678.0 <--mine (pirogue's) 12.00 4,493.7 / 2,343.2 Wow! These guys hit the jackpot there! I thought that in awarding of credits for quorum-of-2 projects there was a system that overrides the use of using a simple average in cases where one of the claims is outrageous, as in pirogue's wingman's claim above. This is apparently not the case with CEP2. Is a change to this on the to-do list, or is that list getting to be too long for the WCG servers to hold it? :( |

Unfortunately there's not many things you can do with the points. Now, if these were free airlines miles, that would be something. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by littlepeaks at Aug 27, 2011 3:33:32 PM] |

Unfortunately there's not many things you can do with the points. Now, if these were free airlines miles, that would be something. ![]() The origins in the riddle are probably the outrages claim of 623.1 credit on 2.19 hours and the 'outlier' checks falling over, somehow, still. Not revealed if the 2.19 hour task really did 2.19 hours or suffered CPU time loss. As to the claim, well, may not necessarily be the original claim... honesty best policy, not thinking that the techs will do a retro-correction so ... parteé :D --//-- |
