Hello,
looks like the problem i and more people had, including the Cannot connect to the GRID server problem. Please see thread http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=182 for more details. Hope this helps. Maybe the forum owner should put this in the known problems section. Looks like more and more people are joining in and are having this problem. Ciao, Peter. |

I'm having a similar issue, but believe it to be a permissions issue when an admin is not logged on. Could someone provide specifics on what permissions for NTFS, registry or AD need to be allowed in order for this to run properly? I'd like our teachers to have the capability to run it with their normal rights.

BTW -Figured I better state that I added change writes for users to the WorldCommunity... folder, but the problem continues with non-admin users.

How did you change the folder permissions? I logged on as myself (admin rights) and with the administrator account (on winxp sp2).
I unchecked he box 'read-only' and confirmed to apply this setting to this folder, subfolders and files. It still says read-only now. Help! |
