Hi,
----------------------------------------during the last half day, one host experienced Errors with the following WUs:
The error messages are: [ERROR] Failed to open either source or destination files while copying C.26.C23H15N3.00091949.3.noopt.bp86.sto6g.n.sp/53.0 to C.26.C23H15N3.00091949.3.noopt.bp86.sto6g.n.sp.53.0. Error: 2 It seems that at least one other host experienced the same problem but other hosts were able to perform the job. The concerned host configuration is:

Will be predictable, but for completeness sake, what were the entries in the client message log when these went out?

Additionally the following WU has been considered as invalid:
----------------------------------------E202645_ 564_ C.26.C24H14OS.00327336.4.set1d06 @Sekerob: which message do you mean exactly? Yves |

You've not earned your Guru badge yet ;>)... the messages you can see in BOINC Manager of which a copy is stored in the stdoutdae.txt file. Something will have been logged there too when those tasks bombed.

Hi Sekerob,
----------------------------------------please find below one example: 14-Jul-2011 10:04:46 [World Community Grid] Starting E202661_733_C.27.C19H9N3OS3Si.00312086.2.set1d06_1 Since there are no particular error messages in the mentioned file, I was not sure about the file you though about. Yves |

In between the list of errored WUs is growing:

But some of them have been successfully computed by other hosts. Yves |

At a loss. The CEP2 logs have wallclock time stamps of the client when something happens and thus surprised your client has nothing for the
"ERROR] Failed to open either source or destination files while copying" concurrent with these. Can't think of this being written to any other of the client log files such as stderrdae.txt Mysterious. --//-- PS: Wonder if WCG has comparative stats of Intel v AMD and their relative error rates. |

I operate currently three AMD-based hosts running Ubuntu 10.04 64. All these hosts crunch regularly CEP2 WUs without any problems. Only the 8 above mentioned WUs are errored.
----------------------------------------I share your opinion: that is strange ! ... Yves |

On the same host, 8 more WUs:
----------------------------------------
with the same cause, and without any particular error message in stderrdae.txt Question, did the host failed to download some files for CEP2 during the last days? This problem occurred only on one host. Yves |

Suggest to boot if not done already. Just not getting any ''error'' results at all on me Linux quad [even when running all 4 cores], nor on the W7 duo, where only one at time is allowed.
