Hello.
I have Boinc installed at work, which happens for many years. The IT guys always gave me the proxy configuration, that was always with numbers, like 178.19.0.12 Port 8080 I introduced the numbers under Advanced»Options»Http Proxy and everything was ok. Recently the proxy has changed. Now it is something like http://proxyconf.xxxxxx.xx.pt/proxy.pac I have entered this data on the same place, without number of port, and nothing. I have also entered the data on Firefox and it works ok (and doesn't ask for a port). What am I missing? Thank you in advance. |

I have the same setup. I use the http without a port number for my browser. For boinc, I use the http and port 8080 and everything works. So try it with the port number and hopefully you'll be fine.

You may also use port 80 instead 8080.
Good luck |

The .pac is holding the proxy information. Try to download/save it from the server and look into it. There is javascript-code with the correct name/ip and port in it. |
