skip... Thinkpad fans are often not near the external inlets and outlets, but it varies a lot from model to model. Some sub-models of T60 and T61 Thinkpads have been known to have heating problems, especially those with discrete graphics (ATI / NVidia). That might explain the occasional video problems you are seeing. Sometimes discrete graphics chips have their own fans as well. skip... - D Thanks for this info -D. I have a T61P with NVIDIA. |

 Good Sunday Morning MOT and visitors Ug....Coffee Good!!For my lab top I use the compressed air one uses to clean their key board and usually end up with, by Texas standards, a small dust storm! I have forgotten the actual percentage number but I read somewhere that the majority of that dust is actually dead skin. I got surpised by the amount some years back and now take the machine outside and make sure that I can back off without breathing any of it. It is amazing what comes out of them if they have not been cleaned in a while.  Everyone have a great Sunday... really; a really Great one. |
