We are beginning a new target for Computing for Clean Water (target04). This target will start when the remaining work units for target03 have been sent out (which should happen in about 3-4 days).

A good opportunity to size up a single target on this research, in this identical sizing as target03 which was launched Dec.20, 2010
Target03 so far: Start: Dec 20, 2010 Today: May 24, 2011 CPU Years: ~8,700 Work Units: ~ 15,250,000 WU Mean run time: ~5 hours Given that during this target run the application was resized, sped up and a 64 bit version was added, the target04 would then be with a huge ? : Target04 estimate: CPU Years: ~8,700 Work Units: ~15,750,000 Right now received target03_136122986. Can't fit 15,750,000 in there, so the 64,000 Dollar question to Techs: Is this anything close, specifically the WU total for the coming run? Gives us something to work against, such as the time to complete this one, and then was it going all the way to target99? :O --//-- NB: Will more exact the numbers when starting to receive target04 on me crunchers. |

We've computed some 6.95 million tasks since May 29 when these started to come out of the hopper.

On 7/31/11 at 09:41:01 I returned c4cw_target04_067056105 it took 4.1 hours on a I7 980X @ 3.33Ghz.
