Thank you for more Van Gogh Beverly

The flow of Van Gogh's brush - the forever movement -
----------------------------------------that's the wondrous appeal of his work. In poetical terms, his technique was indeed unique. "Poetry surrounds us everywhere, but putting it on paper is, alas, not so easy as looking at it." -Vincent Van Gogh A Tribute to Vincent Van Gogh |

Flying south again
----------------------------------------Leaf falls behind New verse, new moon Beneath the sheets the new dawns crisp light Heartbeat Breathing Pulsating darkness light Sunsets Sunrises Rhythms rife Around a vortex of vibrations we all sway Clearly hearing loves song Long after the choir melted away ![]() [Edit 7 times, last edit by David Autumns at Oct 18, 2014 11:34:35 PM] |

My furry pal is slowly fading
----------------------------------------Omnipresent 16 years Independent, loving feline Restless wanderer hiding near Feisty as a bucking bronco Cannonball kitten at the start Seeking now a quiet shelter Place to rest his weary heart Lying close, his body warm With paw upon my arm As if to say I want to stay But time is moving on Another ache, another void I watch with teary eye The world keeps turning as it should Still hard to say goodbye bjb 10/20/14 |

"Around a vortex of vibrations
----------------------------------------we all sway Clearly hearing loves song Long after the choir melted away" Beautifully written!! Sorry I didn't respond to your last poem, Dave. Sadly preoccupied - I seem to have a reservoir of endless tears but just now feel quite depleted. My cat passed away late yesterday afternoon. A special companion for over 16 years. It will take time getting use to his not being around/underfoot...guess I'm saying, will miss him. ![]() |

I understand Beverly, I still miss "The Ginger Fling". No idea why she ended up with that name apart from the ginger bit. She was my cat. She chose me.
----------------------------------------Whereas the other cats used to bring mice/birds/squirrels as gifts the fling used to bring autumn leaves whatever the season. One day shortly after I moved away a leaf blew in through my bedroom window reminding me of fling I collected every crispy autumn leaf that year I know she would have picked. ![]() I think it was because they were the same colour as her or maybe the noise they make Today I still have one crinkly autumn leaf on my fireplace surround. I probably always will. Dave ![]() |

Our feline pals all seem to have their own unique quirky ways...perhaps
----------------------------------------that's what makes them so special to us. My little fella was a part of my life so long that I still will be looking for him in all his favorite places. I can well appreciate your fondness for those russet colored leaves... The memories linger on, don't they.... Great pic of the autumn leaves - Mr. Autumns ![]() |
