Having looked, I don't appear to have an app_info file on any of my servers, so I'm guessing it's yet another optional file to tweak settings.

Will have a look at a few examples, before trying it out properly on my gaming PC, as that's the one PC I'd like to not set on fire with wrong settings! wink

Any config-snippets as examples, posted in here, would be gratefully welcomed, so I can see what sort of settings people here are using! smile


I used the utility available in Section 3 of the below link so I didn't have to manually edit the app_info.xml file after installing Boinc version 7.0.42. Found it very easy to set up.

I only have one supported GPU in my fleet, but I need to have a look now to see if I can tweak it a little.


I'm in the same (though smaller) boat! Guess I should bite the app_info bullet and do the same. Though as an enthusiastic amateur, rather than computer expert, the trial and error phase will be somewhat longer with more emphasis on the error bit!

Anything that can be done to increase the team's daily Points and Results totals will help to delay the impending loss of a ranking place to TeAm AnandTech. (See following Threats post).


Would you be so kind to report on when I will be overtaken in pole position for the team based on the latest stats?

I'm not looking to be No.1, just the top 3 would keep me happy smile

Besides, I don't think there is a large enough loan available to me that would allow me to keep up with Soong (for Points & Results) wink
