Re: UK

Well, this should be interesting..... smile

I trust the testing wil be both comprehensive and extensive and thus last a considerable length of time! wink

btw The sig blocks from Snurk are now available for you and Wicksman http://tinyurl.com/d67xnfq

I guess you need about another 750 hours Runtime (inc. today) before your globe turms silver! smile

Re: UK

Thats some damm good stats for the time you've been crunching on WCG, I would hate to see your electricity bill though (mines big enough, just running 2 PC's).

Top respect for Snurk for producing those sigs cool

Re: UK

Of the PCs I'm running, only 2 of them are at home, and 1 of those is a laptop that I bring into work...

Three machines are donated by a friend, not sure where he's running them from...

The final two of them are all living within the staff-colocation datacentre-suite in work, with the server I'm stress-testing sat in the test-lab.

Even so, with my flat being electricity-only (no gas), my electricity is still about £90/month! biggrin

Re: UK

Well, the stress-testing appears to have had the results expected, in that it looks to have killed the server before it's handed in a valid unit.

Quite a few errors back, since it was only getting 10Kbps from the download-servers trying to obtain 220MB of zipfiles - for some reason, it let the workunits start before it had these files (which were obviously needed), so quite a few Error returns on workunits!

Will look into it when I'm back in the office, in the morning...

Re: UK

And the server is fixed, the first of the "Pending Validation" workunits have been submitted.

And, themooncrescent, I've been pricing up a server to replace my slow twin dual-core Xeon box (which was a freebie donation from the gaming-network I used to help run) - I wasn't intending on spending money to do crunching, but I'm veering that way now! laughing

Edit: just noticed that the "stress-test" server was still running overnight, but it's network-connectivity was broken, so as soon as I sorted the connectivity, it submitted 45 work-units (mostly SN2S & HFCC), so my stats for midday today could be interesting, assuming they all get validated in time! smile

Re: UK

In the top 500 yesterday for Points (122,265) and Runtime (0y 31d 3h 32m 14s), I think the "testing" server might be helping slightly with that! biggrin

Re: UK

Unfortunately, I've had to mark the stress-test server as "No more tasks" and drop the caching down to 0.0 days, as I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep using it for...

Anyway, Gold in HFCC in the last update......just SN2S to get Gold for, and I'll re-enable all the other ones and work towards Ruby badges! smile
