Re: Boinc manager 6.12.11(x86) close manager option in tray fails

Hi Matthias,

Why don't you try the latest stable version?
6.12.xx are development versions, the latest stable Boinc version is 6.10.60 and the latest WCG-Boinc is 6.10.58.

I use one 6.10.60 64 bit on Win 7, one 6.10.60 32 bit on Win Vista and one 6.10.58 on Ubuntu, they all work fine.

Happy Crunchin'.

hi Herna

the meaning of the beta is also to try it and give feedback

i was hoping the beta would use more gpu capacity and would become more productive

thanks for your reply

Known problem. You should aim this feedback at Berkeley; the people that write the application.

Good luck,

I'm not sure how exactly you close the client (from the menu / task bar / tray), but i'd suggest to use the client menu (file -> exit). The tray icon is another small task running, maybe it causes the problem. I had some other issues with it, like reopen the Boinc window and then having 2 icons of it in the tray. So I prefer the client menu, never had any problems here. Also, I close the window when running applications - not sure, but I think some of the client tabs consume CPU when opened.
where do you live in Germany?

Let's say "Zehn Minuten" from FJS airport and from the nearby temporarily offline nuclear plant wink
