Hi,
----------------------------------------I recently got a new laptop for the family, my first running Windows 7. What I'm finding is that BOINC only runs under my user account, and none of the others. How do I make it run regardless of which user account is logged in? I can't remember how I did this under XP, it just seemed to work! I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've searched through the support faqs without luck. Or is it so obvious no-one has asked before!? ![]() |

Supposing you used a newer BOINC install version start with point 4:

Hello GB033533,
If you reinstall WCG BOINC 6.10.58, the projects will run as a service all the time. The BOINC Manager will only run for the User you install it under, so if you want to always be able to check BOINC, install it for All Users. That is the choice I would make, unless I did not trust my children. Lawrence |

Thanks Lawrence and Crystal Pellet. I'll try a reinstall tonight and see if I can make it work across all user accounts!
