After a friend of mine asked me if I would be interested in 70 Pentium 3 computers for free, I got to thinking of various ways to re-use such devices. He hasn't given me specs yet, and to be honest, I probably wont use most of them considering cost of running. But, here are some obvious uses someone could have and I encourage others to post their ideas as well.

Donate them and get a write off. Or, give them away to someone who can't afford a computer at all.

Most places will not accept computers this old and therefore would not qualify. As a matter of fact, these are coming from one of those such places. Here in the states, there are very few left who don't already have a PC. You can get faster ones for around $100.
