The picture below [from the official project website] shows the good doctor in the middle, zipped lipped. Thought to have read over 1 year ago that we'd be shared an update on progress. Since, my computers added 1 more year of computing towards this research, totalling 2 for both phases, but that's all to show (my) boss for when discussing the power bill. Surely skipping 1 coffee break to pen a few lines belongs to the realm of possibilities, for it's those motimoments we crunchers long for.

I thought that the WCG techs were in regular contact with all the project scientists.
----------------------------------------Surely, if the DDDT2 scientists are JUST SO BUSY to not even spare 5 minutes out of a tea/coffee break, the the WCG techs could let us know on their behalf, as to what the latest news is... |

I concure as I have completed 7 cpu years for the DDDT's. It would be nice to hear from them here from time to time.
----------------------------------------Perhaps it would be beneficial (and encouraging) if each project had a pinned Research Log like Harvard has for communication with the science team. If nothing else, they should post new pictures as they are several years older now. |

Maybe one of the techs could ask the team to make a science update?

Normally Dr. Watowich posts our regular updates, and he assures me he will soon, but as with all good PIs he has been busy with grants and papers. Therefore, I wanted to write a quick note in the mean time to explain the “ts”, “dg” nomenclature. In short “ts” is for Test Set and “dg” is for Delta G, as in Gibb’s free energy. The “dg” work are the “production” work units representing work being moved forward for phase 1 of this project in to phase 2. As you may or may not know, with phase 2 for DDDT we are doing free energy of binding calculations on a scale never done before. This work was only possible with the power of the grid and you all, so thank you very much. So in short, the results for the “ts” runs have been good so we are starting production “dg” runs.

Thank you ever so much Robert for coming onto this forum and touching base with us crunchers.
----------------------------------------It sure is nice to know what we're crunching - especially so, now that we're at a stage where we've moved onto the real crux of the issue, the Production WU's. |

Thanks, hope you or Dr. Watowich will find some time to write few words.
We are very interesting in science/technical updates. So thanks a lot. |
