Estimated completion date

Based on the completion rate the last few days, I would guess this project has about 3.5 months left. Does anyone have any definitive info on this.

Re: Estimated completion date

downtowndan, I'd be very surprised if anyone was to give a definitive answer here - as so many things could (and probably will) change, even this late in the day... After all, who'd have thought that just a few weeks ago, HFCC would have had to be slowed down due to server issues...

I'm pretty sure that the only official "warning" we'll get, is the approximate 1 month to go message from the techs.

Yes, I'm sure the WCG techs have a rough date when this project will end, but I'm certain they won't publish that. The only thing we can go on, is knowing the rate we're progressing through the targets and the last batch number.

Re: Estimated completion date

An very rough estimated guess can be made based on where we are in the workunit sequence and an approximation of how many targets we are doing per day.
The last few days we've been doing around 4.4 targets/day.
Lets just say 5/day.
If we have 285 total and we're on 62 right now, that leaves 223 targets to go. Divide by 5/day and you get around 45 days left, as a very rough estimate. That would be around April 3.
If we use 4 targets/day it gives us about 56 days which would be around April 14th.

At 3 targets/day we could last until the first week in May.

So pick your favorite targets/day number to get your estimate. confused

Re: Estimated completion date

I am currently going to guess 55-60 days left for this project. I need 45-50 to reach my goal of 10 years crunched.

Re: Estimated completion date

Since another big bunch of DDDT2 work units have been released we may see a couple of extra days added to this project's completion date wink

Re: Estimated completion date

I need another 80 days to get to my 10 years target (which would be my first). Unlikely to happen by the sounds of it, but I'll crunch to the very end anyway. It's not over until it's over, and all that...
