I just did a full reinstall and upgrade of the OS on my home server (from Ubuntu 10.04 desktop to Ubuntu 10.10 server).
----------------------------------------The boinc client worked swimmingly before, but after the OS upgrade and client reinstall nothing happens - the boinc-client runs, but uses ~0% CPU and doesn't start any WUs. Here's what I did (command line only, I'm running headless): Install and connect: $ sudo apt-get install boinc-client Check that it's running: $ ps -ef | grep boinc Check settings: $ boinc-cmd --get_state So it finds my user and has downloaded one application (there used to be half a dozen) but no WUs. Boinc log: $ tail /var/lib/boinc-client/stdoutdae.txt It looks like I lost a WU during the reinstall (sorry ..), but what's up with the "unsupported platform"? It's the same hardware and (almost) the same OS - the previous one was 64-bit too. It's more than a year since the last time I installed the Linux command line client, so I may have made a mistake somewhere. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?
