Re: Computing for Clean Water ver 6.14

So far, the estimated times for the 6.14 WUs I'm getting are as long, or longer, than the estimates for the remaining 6.13 WUs that are already queued up.

I've also noticed as we went from the 300s to the 4, 5, 6 and 700s that the times seem to keep getting longer.

Re: Computing for Clean Water ver 6.14

From what I am seeing soi far (with 66.6% complete with my 6.14 unit - it is about the same time with new work unit as it used to run under target02

target03 work units run longer than target02 in general. This application change to 6.14 would have made target02 run shorter than they did as well. Each target is going to have a different runtime compared to others.

Also, the estimation for the work unit runtime length will adjust in a few days as more results from version 6.14 start coming in.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Pardon my typos...

3 work units completed in just under 4 hours - similar to the target02 work units. Glad you are getting more science in the same amount of time. Would be nice to get more credit biggrin but we are not here for credits - we are here to help humanity. I am happy to get the same amount of credit as I have been getting before.

Re: Computing for Clean Water ver 6.14

No updated mac and linux at this time. Windows was the slower version which caused us to re-evaluate the compile options used on Windows.

Thanks,

Interesting what speed is your CPU? I have a Intel 980X @ 3.33 without HT 03_0294 tasks take around 2 hours 41 minutes

Re: Computing for Clean Water ver 6.14

Speedy,
Strongly suggest using HT, they say it gets 8 to 25 percent more
done depending on what your crunching! Not to mention, double
the run time biggrin
