About power consumption

Hello,

I see lots of posts regarding power usage and I became curious.

I wanted to know - roughly and based on your experience - how much power a workstation with 2 Xeon E5450 3 Gbyte RAM (for the rest pretty standard hardware) running 24/7 might use.

Is there any special software tools to find out?

Thanks!

Re: About power consumption

The best way to measure your own consumption is from a socket. Those kill-a-watts and similar products costs around 20$ and then you'll know.
