I stopped boinc, disconnect my laptop from docking station, than my XP froze. After reboot and starting boinc manager again, the que of tasks in progress and in upload que was empty
Is there any chance to upload it to wcg server? All files I have in ...BOINC\%Common AppData%\BOINC\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.orgThanks |

Is the BOINC Manager actually connected to the client? When yes, there should be information, right hand bottom "connected to localhost (version)". Then, go to the project tab and check that WCG is listed. Is it?

Open Task Manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc) and select box left bottom to view all processes. Find boinc.exe in the list. Right click on it and look what the path is. Think at top of the list there's also an option to open the file location.
----------------------------------------If you have a 64 bit system and installed a 32 bit client then BOINC could be in C:\Program Files (86)\BOINC. It's running going by what you wrote. As for the data, the place where mine are is C:\ProgramData\BOINC\ as I installed BOINC as a protected service with all user rights. Where did you find the stdoutgui.txt?

I have no admin rights, so I use portable version of boinc (6.2.19), when I open win task manager - processes - right click to boinc.exe there are only "end process, end process tree, set priority and set affinity" possible. stdoutgui.txt is in my portable directory "C:\port\BOINC\%Common AppData%\BOINC"

hmmm, it's not your computer then? The trouble with it not being yours is, that if the IT manager finds out you could be in doodoo and could be giving WCG/IBM/BOINC volunteer computing a bad rap as well.
----------------------------------------There is another discussion ongoing presently to work around "rights" by using a USB stick with BOINC on, inserted into company computer. That's a No No too. Still using company network, still using company CPU, still using company electricity and still seen as walking the fine line with a possible pink slip lurking in the abyss. Anyway, you found a way to install BOINC so you should be knowing where the software is.
