Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Martin is currently working on a new module to canonicalize all the SMILES in CEPDB, which turns out to be a bit more tricky as expected. The standard doesn’t seem to be as standard as it should be... We’ll figure it out.

A few weeks ago when Suleyman and Martin built jabba4 we took a few pictures and now finally get around to posting them. You can check them out here:

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Maybe I'm missing something, but was there not a competition to name the next disk array? What happened to that name [which I cant recollect either]?

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We just had a planning phone call with Lisa, who coordinates our interaction with HGST and really made their sponsorship of our project possible.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Hi SekeRob,
the name competition last year was for our new in-house cluster, not for the storage array. The winning name was "dawn". Check it out here:

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We see some really solid returns these days with 18+y/d computing time (ignoring the dent from the server outage over the weekend). We can also report a new milestone – we have now passed the 14,000y run time mark! Excellent, everybody – keep up the good work!
