I've seen this message for the past 24-48 hours. Having run out of work, BOINC tries to connect; it gives the message to the effect of "internet is OK, maybe project servers are down." This is after trying to "fetch scheduler list."

Plz boot your computer and then let the client run until it fails uploading again. After, copy the whole message log from the top and post in your reply so we can read what the client is doing.

? Rebooted BOINC Manager ?
----------------------------------------Was talking about the computer via the operating system restart option. Also please boot the dsl modem/router. Since my logs are clean, uploading 4 of 7 active sciences successfully, think it's something local to you.

Probably not going to be helped by a computer reboot as BOINC Manager clearly has communication. Both BAM! and the reference site worked fine according to the logs. |

Remember, for a client to be able to connect to WCG it needs https / port 443 / ssl, outward. Non-BOINC parts could be confused here. Since this is the only report we have to deem it a local issue.

It looks like a local issue, since other devices are working fine for me. I restarted my PC several times before posting that log.
----------------------------------------I don't have access to the modem/router, so I can't reset it (it's shared). I also noticed that in my browser, I couldn't access the WCG website except very sporadically. Might be a wireless card issue, I've had issues with that recently. ![]() |

You can get more log detail by adding a few flags to the cc_config.xml and force BOINC to read that file. For instructions, see post by knreed in this thread: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ead,29103_offset,0#284686
----------------------------------------For your browser problem, suggest to go in and clean out all cache / cookies and also use the disk-clean utility to empty out the \temp directory (somewhere in the accessories menu of windows). As an aside, it's always helpful to advise on all problems such as what you just added, however unrelated it seems. Helps the support people to better and swifter assess a situation. ttyl

Clear the secure socket layer when your at it, but that really does sound like a wireless signal strength issue. If you can, check the antennae are pointing in a good direction and not lying flopped over. You could try moving the router to a slightly better location, even a few inches can make a big difference.

For what it's worth, I have had a similar problem earlier today - all connections OK (mail, Internet etc all perfect - not wireless - all hardwired) but there was no connection to the WCG server for upload for most of this afternoon (GMT). I have left the PC running hoping that it will upload and, more importantly download more work overnight. It may not be just a local issue....
