My PC is idling

Since Sunday pm no work has downloaded to my PC and i wonder why.

I have rebooted the PC, the router and the cable modem but to no avail. I do realize that my BOINC client (ver. 6.4.5) is not the latest release and I have not updated it since I was given to understand that it is not a problem.

The O/S here is SuSE 11.1 and the PC is dedicated to WCG work. Processing runs in the background as i am not interested in graphics which I do not understand anyway. Hence any version of BOINC which works will just do fine.

However, I would be interested to know why work is not downloading although access to the server is ok according to the messages.

Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Re: My PC is idling

Quick Fix Tim the Toolman Tailer recommends while shooting from hip: Hit Reset button in the Project tab of BOINC Manager, if you have a GUI.

BEFORE THAT THOUGH:

If you have a BOINC Manager, are there any tasks listed in the Tasks view and are there any files stuck in the Transfer tab?

Thanks buddy, 'we are cooking with gas again". Both CPUs are running flat out again.

Yes, there was a downloading job stuck and I just threw it out. Why did'nt I think of that before. Oh well, I just add it to experience.

Thanks again for your help.
