Dear WCG-Crunchers,

World Community Grid will celebrate its 6th birthday on 16 November 2010. This birthday party and the great success of last years 5th Birthday Challenge are reason enough to start a new team race this year and to make the birthday challenge a tradition.

Last year 151 teams contributed to the 5th Birthday Challenge. The Top-30 teams collected 154,869,679 Million WCG Points within one week ! I am sure we can top this excellent result this year.

This challenge is again created by team SETI.Germany. We are one of the world's biggest BOINC teams and we are on 3rd rank of the worldwide BOINC Combined statistics. Furthermore we are Partner of World Community Grid. As a dedicated partner we like to spread the word about the worthy projects of WCG and we are always happy to reach new crunchers for WCG projects. Also we like to excite many crunchers of other BOINC projects. In our team last year's birthday challenge brought us many new WCG addicts who were crunching other projects before. I heard that other Multi-BOINC-Teams experienced the same.

The 6th Birthday Challenge is open for all teams and late entrants are allowed. It will start on 16 November 2010, end date is 22 November 2010. The Challenge Type is "Points Challenge" and all WCG projects contribute to your team's ranking. Prior to the challenge start we will post a link in this thread that leads to our own advanced challenge statistics website that provides you with additional statistical features .
