Hi.
I recently switched from a desktop to a new laptop. I downloaded the WCG software yesterday and began running it again. The system knows who I am and has my profile but all my statistics start from yesterday, not two years ago when I first joined. Can anyone tell me how to get the stats back? I like to pat myself on the back occasionally. Thanks |

You probably have to wait until at least one WU from that laptop is returned and validated OK. Right now stats for user "hoges in wa" show only one device and the Last Result Returned on 9/17/10 00:00:59.

Cool, thanks. I figured I'd have to wait a day for stats posting but wasn't sure what to do when that didn't happen overnight. I know it's self-indulgent but it does make me feel good to see them.

We all like to see our stats updated as soon as possible
 Check your "Results Status" in the "My Grid" section to see if you have any WU validated. |

I like to pat myself on the back occasionally. Thanks If your "all my statistics start from yesterday" indicates you're viewing the statistics page in the BOINC Manager, than yes, you are correct. Daily history is build from date of installation, but the line-graph left bottom value should have started with the credit's you've previously accumulated under the account your new laptop was registered to. As to "The system knows who I am", depends if you have registered the device to the same account as before against which you previously contributed. Some members created several accounts, and then indeed could see their stats start from scratch if they register the device to 'the other' account. -- SekeRob

Sorry to be in need of basic instruction here but where can I find "My Grid" and "Results Status". I can't see either of these.
And the chart did start at <0. It started at 83200. I've still got the other computer (which is now back running and still with WCG on it) so I'll go look when it's fully operational. Thanks for all the help. |

Sorry to be in need of basic instruction here but where can I find "My Grid" and "Results Status". I can't see either of these. If you scrolls to the top of this web-page, you'll see the WCG-logo, and below it a line with: "Home About Us Research Forums Statistics My Grid Download " from left to right, and to the far right "Help" If you click on "My Grid", you'll go to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyMemberPage.do "Result status" is on this page, on the left side. If you in the BOINC Manager, in Advanced View, on Tasks-tab or Project-tab selects a WCG-task or the WCG-project, various buttons should show-up, and if not mis-remembers "My grid" is one of the choises. Clicking on this should open-up your web-browser and open-up this page...  "I make so many mistakes. But then just think of all the mistakes I don't make, although I might." |
