Tried all possible combos that I could think off, but no luck. Copied text into a <code> area shows that included tabs work ok, but how to generate them? The [tab][/tab] bbcode is not activated on this board so multi column tables is a pain to generate.

Copy/paste from Excel (OOCalc?) inside of code tags will get you tabs between columns.

Copy pasting from spreadsheets is no issue. The quest is for the cross-handed, thumb-pinky overstretching combo to do it directly in a post. Can flip-flop quickly with the It's All Text Firefox addon as this post was just written in and edited:
