Question

Hi! I am using World community grid and I participate in all project. I saw few days ago that WCG has released this new project. But when i go to my grid-my statistic from all project I dont have this project on the list with all results from all projects. But when I go to my projects it is ticked that I participate in this new project. My question is how long this project is on World community grid, only few days ago or longer?

Re: Question

Hi markop619,

you can't see it in your results, because you haven't returned any work units or in case you have, they aren't yet validated. This project started here in the beginning of September and will continue to a distant future smile

Re: Question

For all projects you need to have at least one job sucessfully finished and validated before it shows up in your statistics: I'm still waiting for CEP-2 myself.

current c4cw has a runtime share of 10% of all of the projects, so roughly spoken, if you have your computer running all day, you just may or may not have a job for C4CW running on your computer.

You have checked that the project is checked on in your projects; you could also make sure, if you're using non-default profiles, that the profile you use for this machine has c4cw checked on (My Grid -> Device manager). If you are setup to receive them, you will receive them eventually.

PS: it may be that some of us currently have this project running as their sole project: they typically have a higher chance of getting this one in, especially early after the launch of the project: patience may be required.

Re: Question

I have a question which isn't quite the same as the one being asked. I have two work units in PV status since 9/22 and I have many others validated before and after that date. I have been waiting to see if the validator would pick these up but it has not. These WUs show in Results as PV and they have not been assigned to any wingman. There is no replication and only one completion is needed for these WUs.

See FAQ: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,25807. Never heard if the "try validation" also appears for zero redundant (wingman-less) results, but no reason to think it does not.

Re: Question

I was going to send additional information, but in the work unit status, I now saw the try validation available. I used this for both WUs and they are now valid. Thanks

Re: Question

Thanks for confirming that. A tidbit of hard knowledge to add to the FAQ.
