...as in, what messages?
In contrast to every other WCG project I've run, when my 6.10 client gets c4cw work I don't see any "Started download of..." / "Finished download of ..." messages, only the "got X new tasks" message. Why is that? Something must get downloaded per task -- task name, some sort of parameter(s) Is the message suppressed because the download is so tiny? How then is the 3 hours of work (on this host anyway) triggered? What IS sent per task in this project? Just curious. If this is explained elsewhere please point me to it. Thanks |

Hi sTrey,
----------------------------------------Think uplinger explained it somewhere. With a full result for a target you also receive a (long) table of seeds that need to be worked through. Then when asking for work, the Server checks which have not been done yet, picks one from the table and flips a switch on your client é presto, you've got a task. Several other sciences have/had this skill amongst RICE. -- SekeRob
