Pretty good. Yesterday's stats proofed better than the 7850 I'd calculated to validate... Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) - Day 6:248:11:19:04 Meaning there are some 1800 still out there plus any repairs. You will get my 4 last Beta on monday before the dead line as there are running on one of my PC at work but without Internet connexion. I'll take them back home to send result on monday evening. ![]() I do the same thing, gotta love thumb drives. |

Hi
I guess I have a setting wrong or something as the percentage complete keeps going backwards, and so a 6 hour original estimate is currently 11 hours at 40%, so wil only get longer. I am only running one of the two beta tasks at a time. John G |

Cheers, Yves OK, the protection mechanism in that version is less smart to the newer BOINC. The old one did not learn and kept trying new tasks until one would fit in available RAM. The new one is not supposed to do that although I think to have seen a few sporadic reports that BOINC is still trying with 6.10, but in general seems to deal with this problem well.

The error-message
----------------------------------------exited with zero status but no 'finished' file disappeared, after I stopped JDownloader (a download manager, which also extract zip or rar archives). Thus, I think, my hd were too busy for crunching cep2 wus... Is it possible to insert more checkpoints? When I turn off my pc, a lot of cpu time get lost! |

No, the artificial increase in checkpoints would only more aggravate the problem. We want less disk IO, not more.
----------------------------------------On the question of how many there are still out there: Officially 10,000 WU's we're released. Did not say in the announcement if that was to be doubled for quorum 2, but so far on this run 17,250 have returned including repairs. The test was stopped as was mentioned. edit: want, not went

Wonder why there are so many repair WUs if the test was already stopped. Got one more this night. |

Stopped as in no new work if there still was any to go out. Total tally now 18655 validated. As said don't know, but suspect that the 10,000 is before the quorum 2 multiplier.
