Re: I made a new forum signature.

I have a Question aswell.

It seems the color of the world globe is based on how much Gflops you provide?
Any idea which one comes when?

The alternative would be that it is based on total runtime or something else all together?

Globe colour is based on your total runtime/project. Same as normal badges, but with a few extra levels.

Check out http://www.sig.net78.net/ for who is currently on what level. It also states what you need to get to for the relevant badge colour.

Re: I made a new forum signature.

Hi SNURK,
Beautiful work on this signature image. Thank you for your efforts.
If you could add me to your list, I'd appreciate it. 101415.
Thank you again!!

Hi fbaldwin,
I don't know what's going on exactly, but I can't find you at all. Surely I see you here, but I can't find your user ID nor your name in the export xml file that WCG produces. Your last returned result was in 2008. Could it be that you only have UD-points generated by the UD-agent? I joined WCG after the UD era, so I'm a bit guessing here. Perhaps someone else could shed some light on this...

SNURK.

Re: I made a new forum signature.

Hi SNURK, this is purely a guess, but it could be that fbaldwin is contributing, but under a different username (for example, if he works for IBM, then he may have downloaded the internal IBM version of BOINC which directs all the points that he generates to the global IBM team). The only way we'll find out, is when fbaldwin comes back and checks/confirms what userid is showing against the 'Account' field in his BOINC mgr (Advanced View, Projects Tab) as well as checking/confirming that the number '101415' is his exact Account Number (as shown on his 'My Profile' page).

Re: I made a new forum signature.

I would like to have one of these nice cartouches with stats, ranking, etc. Whom do I have to kill to get one?

Re: I made a new forum signature.

Well, if you kill him, then you, nor anyone else will be able to get one...

What you need to do, is to ask SNURK kindly as well as including your Account Number (to be found on your 'My Profile' page) in the request biggrin

Re: I made a new forum signature.

Should not the calculation be based upon projects selected (especially since there are only 12 available counting Beta test)?

No, the calculation is based on the number of projects, that has ever run on the World Community Grid (excluded the Beta), makes 17 until now.
So the finished projects are also taken into the accounting.
The runtime of 'old' projects stay with you too and if a project finish and you would lower the divisor by 1, you suddenly would get a raise of runtime per project.
