SNURK,
Have you calculated a maximum number of sigs that your infrastructure can support and if so, how close are you to that max? |

Think he wrote a long time ago that based on sig size he'd have monthly ul/dl space of some 725,000 per month (10Gb). Per one of his last post he's automated the process
Since yesterday I started running all automated. Hopefully 2 updates a day. and was nearing or just passed 250 so that's at 2 daily refreshes 15,000 in a 30 day month, so suspect he's in upload terms still on the very save side... in viewings, that is certainly taking by far the largest part of the cake. At any rate, if I knew how it works, can fetch a copy and transport it via SmartFTP to my computer and then put it into my own [non-browsable] PhotoBucket folder where the WCG charts are stored for display on the forums. Scripts for that are set up in the utility via click and play in rather effortless manner. --//-- |

quarlo, if you ran WCG before, why not reuse your original username? Well, a) I'm not concerned with impressing anyone and b) if I remembered what name I originally used, I would have. Health issues have taken a toll and I'm just looking to contribute some small thing. The sig thingy looked cool is all. Edit: *very* cool - thanks a lot, SNURK!!! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by quarlo at Mar 10, 2011 8:19:50 PM] |

The account gets around 600,000 file views a month, which adds up to about 7 GB of bandwidth a month of the 10 GB available. Somehow the consumed bandwidth is not growing as fast at all as the number of signatures, so I guess the 'heavy users' have requested their sig in the beginning. Would be nice if Photobucket upgrade their free accounts to >10GB before I run out of bandwidth . Otherwise the last resort would be to take a payed account , but I'm not worried yet.I'm excited I got the automated process of creating and uploading of signatures going. It's nog care-free yet though. I'm ironing out the errors as they arise. Crunching (and coding) on ... ![]() |
