By the way, for those of you who have reached the sapphire globe, that's 34 years of crunching, which is already a huge pile of wu's crunched, and still might get bored looking at their sapphire globes, I've been busy adding a little extra eye candy. So now there's a goal to crunch for even after reaching Sapphire I saw the lightening bolt through the globe for mclaver. Nice touch. Just have to figure out what level is required to cause it to flash. |

I saw the lightening bolt through the globe for mclaver. Nice touch. Just have to figure out what level is required to cause it to flash. Well spotted  It requires 3 x sapphire to get struck by lightning. That's 6 years average, or 102 years in total (for now). As unlikely as it seems to ever reach that amount, there are 3 signatures with lightening bolts already.  As I didn't want to invent new badge colors, metals, gems or whatever before WCG does, I stayed with the sapphire theme and just added a bit of bling. And yes, I made it future-proof and added one more level. I wonder who will be the first to reach that  |

Hi cw64, Thanks for the suggestion. I agree that the large blank space looks a bit odd. I've been making the image wider gradually to accommodate longer team names. "BroadbandReports.com Team Discovery" being the longest one to date. That also made me drop the WCG logo below midway to leave space at the top for those long team names, otherwise the image would be even wider. I'll play around a bit to see if I can make them variable width. That's a good idea, thanks.  I do not speak for the team but I guess it can be shorten to "BBR Team Discovery" or "DSLR Team Discovery".   |
