target2 compute time

I have noticed that target 2 compute time is about 2x target1's compute time (I am sure that this is by design based on the betas), is there any chance that one of the tech can modify the estimated compute time for these targets (have 1 compute time for target1 and a different one for target2)? This is because it is messing up my cache settings, I am sure others are affected too.

Re: target2 compute time

Jean has requested to fix this some 24 hours ago or whenever they came first out the feeder. Lucky, that target03 was not send out first. They are 4x as long as target01. We think it's possible to do this given the DDDT2 C Type for the px and sx branches have each an independent TTC (computed from the fpops in the task headers)

cheers

Re: target2 compute time

We only get the header, not the result detail when looking at links to someone else's results, which is why we always ask for a copy/paste of quorum info.

And yes, your I7 is a monster... my stock Q6600 LINUX needs 2.67 hours for target02 jobs, at least per Beta, so will test a few now to confirm. tongue

Re: target2 compute time

It looks like the target2 WUs just took a 2X jump in compute time!

Re: target2 compute time

If you post a copy of the WU name, we know what number that is starting to happen. The double of target02 were to be named target03.

edit:

Pushed one task from the very end of the queue, just downloaded, and after 1 hour it's on 40%, to finish within the 2:35 - 2:48 range as they appear in the Result history for this device.

12-09-2010 19:01:25 [checkpoint_debug] result c4cw_target02_006459765_0 checkpointed
