Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I have both CEP2 and DDDT2 selected for my projects, but I only get work for CEP2. Is this right? The previous work I got for DDDT2 was when CEP2 was deselected. I want to run both projects. Is the rain so sparse that I will not get any DDDT2 until after I reach my goal for CEP2 and deselect it? Perhaps Sek can answer this. sad biggrin

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

dkt,

Had CEP2 on limited supply, which before was 1 per host for me. With the new feature: I've set the duo to 2 in the override with 1 day cache and the quad on 5 with 1 day cache, so am now crunching on quad 2 CEP2 and 2 DDDT2 and a raft of C4CW and HCMD2 ready to fill the gaps, interspersed with the odd single CEP2 fetch... 1 ready, 1 new requested. Initially releasing the CEP2 manually so that they get spaced out and afterwards the 1:1 backfill should take care that only half of the cores are running CEP2.

I received some WU's, but the progress is very low
after 3h 45mins only 25-28% done. As I see in statistics, average time is some more than 3 hours :(

Certainly you're talking about the PE-types.
On my machines they will use from 11 up to 33 hours.

I've seen that before. It means that all available tasks have been handed out to fellow crunchers running Linux or Winboxes. These tasks are still looking for a wingman, and that could be you, but the requirement is that wingmen for the same task need to run the same OS, so for you being a wingman on these tasks you simply need to switch to a less "exotic" platform... wink

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

For those not already in the know, the deadlines also give away the type. If non-repair:

A Type 8 days (3.2 for repair)
B Type 7 days (2.8 for repair)
C Type 10 days (4 for repair)

And in hindcast, the job received this morning was not a repair, but a B Type ''pe'' with 7 day deadline. These are the longest of all DDDT2 tasks and after 4 hours on me quad, heading for a stretchy 18-20, if progress indication is linear enough.

ts01_ d313_ pe0000_ 1-- - In Progress 12/16/10 09:21:07 12/23/10 09:21:07 0.00 0.0 / 0.0

Helped it ahead of the queue since the C Type can only be build when B Type batches are done.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I got 4 PE units and 2 SE units. The SE units are done, about 4 hours average, one is valid already. The PE's are still running, the oldest is about 39% done after 7-1/2 hours (on a Q6600).
