Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

But perhaps you do not wish to have
all your badges fulfilled as then what else is there to work for.
(yes everyone I know that's not why we crunch but it's fun!)
I think we need a badge for badge hunting! biggrin
Whether the badge is fame or shame can remain in the eye of the beholder. wink

Getting O/T now ... How about a badge for electrical consumption? A shame or thrift badge or sorts? blushing Keep it in the green color. wink

Looks like someone bit off too much cache. I'll be happy to move it along for processing. cowboy

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Ok, I am one of these "bad guys" preventing units from validation wink
With 5 days cache I have ~33 pages IP but only 3 PV...
But be patient, in a steady rate of ~100 units/day it will finally validate biggrin

Ah, would that be the reason I'm now getting the following on my transfers :-

I've not seen this daily quota before.
Or is this because my other Boinc clients are old software ? 6.2.28 as opposed to 6.10.58 on this one ?

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Your computer could likely have been mangling or self aborting tasks, hence the mention of "quota", to get down to 10. A result even if going into PV state does NOT reduce quota of 80 per core per day. It will have been many to get that low.

Visit the Result Status page, always that Result Status page, yes, to see what's the outcome of your previous completions.

Suggest you switch to DDDt2 and set your cache one day more than it currently is, wait till you pick up a page and switch back to lower cache
and reselect your other project. Then you have some to crunch and
you dont have to be DDDt2 exclusive.
Just a thought.

Yes! Made Ruby on this round! biggrin

(Edit:) Oops! Posted in the wrong thread. But, as long as I am here, I'll mention that I still am getting plenty of work on three machines, using a 1-day cache, and asking for ONLY DDDT2 work. No finger poking necessary.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

For now I take WCG DDDT2 tasks exclusive, and while I notice that the general WCG crunching is about 30% lower than usual I do notice that DDDT2 crunching is up in a remarkable way.

The "loss" in cycles for WCG is filled up with other non-WCG projects. Once DDDT2 is in a dry spell again, I go back to the normal settings with "accept tasks from other projects" which will increase the WCG percentage again.

Strange how everything is connected. A dry spell in DDDT2 causes non-WCG projects to have less cycles from my boxes. hypnotized
