I have well over a page of Pending Validation.....is it down again?

humm i have 4 sitting in PV as well
----------------------------------------i am guessing they are doing a backup or something similar... maybe making dddt-2 rain again.. or maybe its something to do with the beta's they have rushed out. shrug not going to worry much untill they are a stats update or so.. mine all apear to be less than 2 hours old  |

It's Thursday, so backups are running (usually 07:00 UTC to appr. 09:00 UTC), see here . I would not pay too much attention to the information you are referring to, first because it is quite old, and second because the pausing of the validators seems to have started around 5 UTC.Anyway this is an unimportant event without any incidence on our work, and without any effect on our stats at least until 11 UTC. Maybe the techs want to run a stress test of the validators?  |

This is something I have noticed the last months. As far as I can see validating stopped somewhere at about 5:30. Now the first validators seem to work again. |

Think that some of the FAQ info that pertains to server side schedules will be made more general since we only learn of this by observation, the techs making changes as and when the conditions warrant i.e. things are in flux.
----------------------------------------It can't really bother me when those validators run long as all is validated that is minimum quorum complete by noon and midnight UTC, as else the stats become kind of meaningless on a day to day basis. If there is no validation, there is no diagnostics for repairs job needs and not sure the No Reply / Detached redistros then do not get acted on either, but suspect so.

I only have 4 PVs for c4cw and each has a minimum of 2 and a replication of 2.
