----------------------------------------I max out at around 600 000 WCG PPD if running only GPU. Amazing! I am currently testing the GPU capabilities, will later add CPU crunching into the mix if i find a suitable app_info file. Looking for one which will let me run HCC GPU + HFCC CPU, but so far I have only found HCC GPU + SN2S CPU. Currently I have found a stable GPU Overclock of my sapphire HD7970 producing no invalids at 7000MHz GDDR5 and 1125MHz GPU Core (stock is 5500MHz RAM and 925Mhz GPU core). Wish I could add in a second 7970 in my machine, but have too much else on my plate at the moment (thanking The Lord it is friday evening now). Alright, crunching on for a cure! Wow Flodisar, you have motivated me to put together a computer that's been sitting in pieces... and go buy another Video card! Yay, glad that I could help!  I topped out at over 700 000 WCG PPD yesterday, new record! Personally, since I alreay have a 7970 GPU, I will try and wait for an HD8970 or whatever they will be called. And, if HCC scientists declare that there will be more WUs than the current 120 days left, I will buy it. But, to be able to provide enough power for two GPUs I will have to get myself a new PSU also...my current power draw with CPU + GPU load is nearing 500W and my PSU is a 600W one.... Yes Jack, make sure you have your new machine ready for when our HCC challenge starts! :) EDIT: Jack, make sure you get an AMD GPU from the 7000 series. In the same price range as nVidia's 600 series, AMD's cards offer 4-5x the GPGPU performance... Leo....I proclaim you the Crunching King !!!! YAY, THANKS CHRIS! Although...for a couple of days almost I had to turn my PC off due to having speculators having a look at my apartment for sale.... However now i hope to be back for a while again with full steam ahead! Just now I tried to set 12 GPU tasks to run in parallel, since I have a CPU capable of running 12 simultaneous threads...it should mitigate the slack time when the CPU or GPU is idle and increase overall utilization. At least that's the theory... :) It feels good when the GPU can be used so effectively and efficiently for something else than games! Jack, how is your build coming together?
