Charlie Rangle (NY-15th District) loves to play this little game of his every so often. During the Bush administration, he introduced a similar bill in the House of Representatives requiring mandatory conscription in an attempt to embarrass President Bush the Republican party. The Republicans let his bill come to a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives where it was soundly defeated by both parties. For the record, Rangle voted against his own bill. Pay this corrupt lilliputian no mind.

personaly it sounds stupid to me.
----------------------------------------curently i am active duty and i feel like it should be a choice not an everyone must do thing. there have been lots of people who have made it through all the trainings then get assigned to a unit/ship/squardren and then prove completly unable to cope with military life not to mention cause of the ecomonic recession they are trying to find ways to reduce the military size cause people are choosing to stay in if they can do to there being less jobs out there  |
