At present 7 day pace, 42 days away, but we can make it happen before August 31... that's 41 days away.
----------------------------------------Till then, 24,744,947 more results needed to get there. Make it so! (Crunching on) edit: Chart... what else :D edit 2: Added a daily overall results completed curve... summertime, schools out, it's trending down as we know till mid September... which is when the 500m should have been bagged by then.

i think we can make it.. as long as we dont get a ton of DDDT-2's Alpha work units. If too many of those show up we wont make it though

There are so few DDDT2 Type-A WUs in total that it's not them which will affect this challenge.
----------------------------------------Extending CEP2 to Windows and another possible project launch will have more influence when they come, by reducing the share of the short HCC WUs in the daily total. And since the current batch of Type-A DDDT2 seems to be already out it will take some time before the next one, unless it is released before all Type B and C of the current one are complete. |

Looks like we are not going to make it. We are returning about 50,000 less results per day lately due to DDDT2, beta, and HFCC WUs that are considerably longer then others.
----------------------------------------I personally have seen lots of HFCCs that are over 8 hrs long, some even 11 or 12, and one that was 19 hrs. This is compare to 2.5 hrs for HCC and 6 for HCMD and HPF.  |

A late August rush... 603,027 results validated on Friday getting us to 495,045,446. With some new clean water in the mix, September 5, maybe September 4 to hit the big number... but at least before September 6 as a useful number for some adapted announcements.

A trained Eye put it on September 5... just before water world day.

We are returning about 50,000 less results per day lately due to DDDT2, beta, and HFCC WUs that are considerably longer then others. If everybody on the challenge switches to C4CW and HCC only,then you will have a dramatic increase in unit numbers. I finish one unit in 90 minutes or so on one thread.  |

Think if knreed or uplinger put on that returned result logger script (putting load on the servers), it will most probably happen even on Saturday as time from return to validation does have a day or more lapse on average... maybe it already happened :O

A big hand to World Community Grid as the tireless host and sponsor in gelling it all together and the scientists who are putting trust in the hundreds of thousands of volunteers to complete their computational research in the speediest possible fashion for cures and a clean environment, and now clean water too.
