I've taken the affected Linux client off-line so it wont persist to upload till coast-clear is advised. Got work till tonight. AND: It only affects the _4 result files. The other 4 smaller result parts upload fine. thx Same problem here. I'll do likewise and watch for updates. ![]() |

I have 19 WUs with this problem as well. Segments _0 - _4 are unable to complete the upload. They go to 100% uploaded then post the error and retry.
----------------------------------------In addition about 13:00 UTC I started getting the following error: Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site Temporarily failed upload of E200124_140_A.19.C16H10N2S.361.set1d06_1_4: HTTP error Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. Well whilst your diligently working, whilst I was cutting the grass, my client went on it's own and clean uploaded all open CEP2 tasks. They now show to be in part having taken residence in PV Jail. Here are the logs for the new entries:

Thanks for crunching at WCG and thanking the techs for their prompt clearing.

Sek,
The disk quota was fixed on the server side. Members can attempt to manually retry the transfer or it should work on the next attempt automatically. Thanks, -Uplinger |

I'd say it was wise to limit this project to Linux only until more of these kinks are worked out. One can only imagine the cluster--- if this were to happen to the Windows user base.

I'd say it was wise to limit this project to Linux only until more of these kinks are worked out. One can only imagine the cluster--- if this were to happen to the Windows user base. Oh my yes. My 4 "stuck" jobs have uploaded successfully and show as 2 "Valid" and 2 "Pending validation." It seems as if the "stuck" uploads did not affect downloading new work. I'd set BOINC not to do network communication once I discovered the CEP2 upload issue. As soon as I renabled it, I got a new WUs -- they arrived before the CEP2 WUs finished their successful uploads. ![]() |

Stuck uploads will affect downloads, when the number of files 'stuck' uploads is twice the number of cores i.e in the example of a quad, 8 files. Some members reported seeing this last week or the week before, so pre-empted. When there are more files to upload, but it is running normally, parallel downloading continues, but mostly we don't see that since downloading of new work is usually before the end of a result.

Ever since this problem erupted, and by which I have also been affected by not being able to upload results, I got stuck with one and only one particular WU.
During the period of no-upload-time, several WUs finished and got stuck in a queue waiting to be reported. When the problem was deemed as solved, the queue was properly flushed down the pipe to the servers, all except for one particular WU which has been sitting on the Transfers tab for two days now. I've tried to manually upload it, but the only message that I get is: Backing off 15 min 18 sec on upload of E200122_193_A.19.C16H10N2O.248.set1d06_0_0 Any idea how to sort this one out? Or will I have to abort the result? |
