re-install: no tasks, moved from i686 to amd64

subject is the jist of it, after re-installing on a new machine - going from from i686 to am64, the client log is filled with these:

08-Jul-2010 05:44:52 [World Community Grid] [error] App version has unsupported platform i686-pc-linux-gnu
08-Jul-2010 05:44:52 [World Community Grid] [error] No application found for task: i686-pc-linux-gnu 607 ; discarding

I've purged and re-installed, wiping data, etc. and nothing clears it up.

Oh, this is running Linux (Debian Sid/unstable).

lots of questions on re-installs, I've not yet found an answer, or I wouldn't have posted.

cavein,

The Start Here FAQs, the index is in my signature and at the top of every single forum as a sticky, items 4M and 4N (for if the second warning line is searched, members would not find the first line ;-)

Make sure to restart the client and if fixed, please edit the opening post title and insert [RESOLVED]. Then all know without opening the thread that the case is closed.

happy crunching.

PS: Searching on a specific message just requires for a piece of the message to be put in the search box at top and putting 'AND' between the words, such as this sample:

App version has unsupported platform i686-pc-linux-gnu

becomes

App AND version AND has AND unsupported AND platform

maybe there was a little exaggeration... 42 hits using this line :D
