I was just wondering... i fetched 2 work units, both 6.35. the first one downloaded instantly (ready to run), the second one - 5 seconds later - came along with yet another 60 mb zip.
my 8-thread machine had some frustrating cpu time loss last weekend, so i was being a little sarcastic about a possible checkpoint-fixed upgrade. ;) by the way, if somebody might find this useful: suspend cep2 tasks whenever you need a lot of cpu and memory for other programs and run other projects in the meantime. no matter how many cep2s i let run (1,2,4 or 8), they most likely fall back to the last checkpoint (which is often 8 hours ago), although LAIM is checked. suspending takes a lot of extra memory for LAIMing, but it prevents a lame time waste. |
